Heathcote Health is a leading small rural health service located 90 minutes north of Melbourne via the Northern Highway, and 40 minutes south-east of Bendigo via the McIvor Highway. We are a 9-bed public facility which provides public and private acute care, 24 hour urgent care, district nursing, and a broad range of community and home-based services. Heathcote Health also has a 42-bed residential aged care facility.
Our catchment provides services to the Heathcote community and its surroundings. Heathcote Health is one of the largest employer in Heathcote with over 200 staff caring for our community.
There are many ways you can support Heathcote Health and your contribution can help make a big difference. Support can come in many forms for example:

Memorial Donations
A special way to commemorate the life of a loved one when they pass away, is for friends and family to make a donation in celebration of their life. A memorial gift or making a donation instead of sending flowers is a permanent reminder of a much-loved family member or friend.
In-memory donations can be directed to specific areas of the organisation allowing you to support the area which cared for you or your loved one. Donation envelope can be requested through hospital administration on (03) 5431 0900.
Bequeath – Leaving a gift in your Will
Heathcote Health understands that making a Will is very personal matter and one that requires careful consideration. If you are considering bequeathing a gift in your Will to Heathcote Health, we recommend seeking independent professional advice to guide you through the process in order to ensure your wishes are met. Fundraising
We are incredibly appreciative of the amazing contributions our community has made and the ongoing assistance provided by nearby companies, organisations, clubs, community groups, and individuals in their fundraising endeavours on behalf of Heathcote Health. This kindness allows us to keep upgrading our equipment and services.

Volunteering
Our team of volunteers provide invaluable support and assistance to families, patients, residents and staff at Heathcote Health. There are a range of volunteering opportunities across our health service, such as in our assisting with the with patients and residents, administrative assistance, gardening, fundraising initiatives, delivering meals on wheels, Consumer Advisory Group; and many, many more.
Consumer Advisory Group (CAG)
The CAG is a group that advises Heathcote Health’s leaders. There are a number of positions available at the CAG for community members who are patients, service users, family members, or representatives. They assist us in better collaborating with these significant groups as we plan, deliver, and improve their healthcare.
One of the Heathcote Health Board members leads the CAG. They speak up with compassion and strength to ensure that we work well with the people we are here to assist. The Committee Terms of Reference and Member Code of Conduct provide an explanation of the CAG’s duties and regulations. To join the CAG, you will have to go through a formal interview process. Should you be selected, your name will be added to the Heathcote Health consumer participation database.
