Heathcote Health is a leading small rural health service located 90 minutes north of Melbourne via the Northern Highway, and 40 minutes south-east of Bendigo via the McIvor Highway. We are a 9-bed public facility which provides public and private acute care, 24 hour urgent care, district nursing, and a broad range of community and home-based services. Heathcote Health also has a 42-bed residential aged care facility.
Our catchment provides services to the Heathcote community and its surroundings. Heathcote Health is one of the largest employer in Heathcote with over 200 staff caring for our community.

Shaping the future of health service delivery to give our communities a great experience throughout the Loddon Mallee region.
The Loddon Mallee Health Network (LMHN) is an unincorporated joint venture governed by CEOs of public hospitals from the Loddon Mallee region.
The health services within the region work together to ensure every hospital is safe, and sustainable and provides the most appropriate services for patients based on the skill mix of the staff and the physical infrastructure of each hospital.

The Royal Flying Doctors – Community Transport Services
The Royal Flying Doctors is operating a free Community Transport service to help community members access health appointments and Group programs. With the help of volunteer drivers, this connects the local community to their health appointments.
Who can use the service?
To use this free service you must:
- Have a pension, concession or DVA card, or
- Be aged 65 years or older; and
- Live within the designated pick up zone
Carers and children are able to travel with you.
Where can I travel to?
The service will pick you up from home and transport you to health appointments or Group Programs within a designated drop off zone.
Both one way and return trips are available.
Please note the stopping off at the shops or for errands is not available with this service.
When can I travel?
Transport is available Monday to Friday between 09:00am and 04:30pm.
